1980-1997 (concurrently) NEW MEXICO: Assignment photographer covering events around the Southwest. Regular clients include: the NY TImes. the Chicago Tribune, the Washington Post, the Associated Press and Ganett News Service.
1977-1984 NEW MEXICO: Picture editor. Chief photographer for the Santa Fe New Mexican, a Gannett daily newspaper. Transitioned from daily black and white to daily color. Worked with Gannett on the development of USA Today.
1976-1978 NEW MEXICO: Photographer - Southwest News Service, Stringer for the Albuquerque Journal in Santa Fe.
1968 – 1972 CALIFORNIA: Photography student, stringer for Santa Monica Evening Outlook newspaper, Technical writer for Petersen's Photographic Magazine. Began photographing patterns of laser light at Cal Tech in Pasadina. Produced laser footage for Warner Brothers studio, wrote and produced a children's educational film about mixing colors.
